Please Note re adoptable cats & kittens
As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first come, first served.
All cats and kittens adopted from Home at Last Rescue have received a full heath examination, a minimum of one vaccination,
treated for routine parasites, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
All future vet bills and vaccinations are the responsibility and at the expense of the adopter.
Meeting Our Cats and Kittens:
- All cats and kittens can be met prior to adoption. As most are in foster homes, meet-and-greets are arranged only after an adoption application has been approved.
- Applications are reviewed by our volunteer adoption team, including discussions with suitable applicants and veterinary checks where applicable.
- Approved applicants are then connected with the foster home to learn more about the cat or kitten and ask questions.
- If appropriate, a Zoom or FaceTime meeting is arranged so applicants can see the cat or kitten in their home environment (please note behaviour may differ when meeting a stranger).
- If all parties wish to proceed, an in-person meet-and-greet can be arranged either in the foster home or at our Etobicoke PetSmart adoption centre. Many applicants choose to proceed following the virtual meeting.
If you are applying to adopt a single kitten, please note that our Rescue has a Two Kitten Rule as follows: All kittens under the age of 9 months must have an age appropriate cat or dog in their home. If you have no other pets, then you must adopt two kittens (or a kitten and an older cat).
This symbol, in the lower right of the cat/kitten’s profile image, indicates that the cat or kitten is part of a bonded pair who must be adopted together.
These are the cats currently available for adoption!
