Cinnamon
When Cinnamon first arrived in our foster care, she was in bad shape. The first time her foster mom saw her, she was shrinking away from the animal shelter staff, and looked mad at the world. She was only three months old when she and her sister were found starving with a bunch of other cats in an out building. It was a very sad situation where their owner had passed but was not found immediately. After one night in foster care, it was clear that the sisters need medical intervention. Sadly, Cinnamon’s sister didn’t make it, and Cinnamon was at the vet for over a week as they worked hard to get her healthy. As she was handed back to her foster, the vet tech warned that she was feisty and hissy.
When she came back to her foster family, she really didn’t know what to do. She wasn’t hissy with her foster mom, but didn’t like toys, wasn’t comfortable outside of her small area, and definitely didn’t like the men in the house. She was so overwhelmed the first time she went in to a new room, she just sat there looking shocked. But with time and love, Cinnamon came out of her shell, and became friendly and sweet and sooooo playful, which meant it was time to find her forever family.
Cinnamon went to a wonderful home in January 2021, with another cat (Ozzie), and everyone has fallen head over heels in love with her.
She has the funniest personality, loves to play hide and seek, and will chat away with her owners. She’s a spider hunter, and will meow at spiders in the corner until she’s picked up and can reach it. She’ll bring toys to the bed throughout the night so that her owners wake up to a little stock pile. And she and Ozzie are best of friends.
Her new owner said:
“I honestly have never met a cat like her…she is one of a kind. We can’t imagine life without Cinnie!”
